Chocolate bourbon cake in a mason jar

I love chocolate, I love bourbon with chocolate and I love mason jars.
This dessert has all 3 of those loves of mine wrapped up into one!
This cake is absolutely amazing. It is inspired by a dessert at one of my very favorite restaurants- “BRU Market and Grill

Here is the recipe for chocolate bourbon cake in a jar:
1 stick salted butter
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup bourbon
nonstick spray
In the microwave, melt butter and chocolate together. Stir well
Add butter and chocolate to a large mixing bowl with sugars. Mix until well combined. Add bourbon and mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, until incorporated. Mix well. Add baking soda and baking powder.
Pour into 4 mason jars that have been sprayed well with non-stick spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (And they have risen and fell)
NOTE: This is an adult only dessert, not all of the bourbon cooks out.

Top this dessert off with some vanilla gelato or whipped cream, and serve it warm. YUM!

On a completely unrelated note, my kiddies are DONE with school!

Here’s Charlie at his 2nd grade open house.

And here’s Ciera at her preschool graduation.
We are so ready for summertime! Our summer will include multiple camping trips, Yosemite, weddings, birthday parties, BBQ’s and much much more. How about you? What types of fun activities are you going to do with your family this summer?
