Pumpkin spice walnut fudge

Here’s a fun fall fudge recipe for pumpkin spice walnut fudge-
Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
3/4 cups butter
2/3 cups evaporated milk
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
12 oz. butterscotch chips
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup walnuts

Directions:
Combine sugar, milk, butter, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice in a heavy saucepan. Bring ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling on medium heat, until a candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees (about 10 minutes)
Remove pan from heat. Stir in butterscotch chips, marshmallow creme, vanilla and walnuts.

There’s my girl helping out (this is a wonderful activity to have the kids help you out on!)

Now pour the fudge into a greased, foil lined 9 by 13 pan:

Let the fudge cool on the counter for about 45 minutes, it will be hot for a while. After it cools on the counter, you can pop the pan into the fridge to speed up the cooling. This recipe will make about 3 pounds of fudge.
Once the fudge is completely cooled cut the fudge into squares:
This fudge is so yummy, and very easy to make. It has a sweet pumpkin flavor and I love the walnuts in it (Of course you can substitute any type of nut in place of the walnuts, I think pecans would be great as well. Or leave the nuts out completely).
How fun would this be to place the cut up squares of fudge in little treat bags for the kiddies at Halloween time? I think I might just do that!
Enjoy :)
