Double Chocolate Cookies

I found this cookie recipe on the side of my Target brand sugar package.

I’ve made many cookie recipes from the sides of packaging, and sometimes these turn out to be the best ones!
I made these cookies for father/son night tonight that my husband leads at our church.
So, if you are going to be there, enjoy these cookies. They are really good!
Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Here’s what you do:
Heat oven to 375 degrees, beat sugar, butter and vanilla together. Add in eggs. Mix in flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt until well blended, stir in the chocolate chips.
Shape dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake about 10 minutes, or until the cookie is set and just beginning to crack on the surface.
Cool. This recipe makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.

Here’s my little baking assistant. She got a Hello Kitty hand mixer for Christmas. How cute is that!!??!!

Even Charlie wanted a turn with the mixer. Cute.

Enjoy!
