Melt, Dip, Decorate

I love making chocolate dipped pretzels. I make them ALL the time, for birthday party favors, end of the year school treats for parties and now a Christmas time treat.

Here is what you need:
1 bag of pretzel rods
1 bag of red (or any color you’d like) of Wilton candy melts
sprinkles

Melt the entire package of the Wilton candy melts in a microwave safe bowl for about a minute, take the bowl out, stir, then microwave again for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Stir, they should be perfectly melted.
Dip one end of the pretzel rod in the chocolate and place the rods on a waxed paper (foil works too) lined cookie sheet.
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle some decorations on top. I used Christmas colored green sugar. Once the decorations are on the pretzels, you can pop the whole tray into the freezer for about 10 minutes, to speed up the hardening time of the chocolate!

I wrapped up each pretzel individually in these pretzel treat bags that I found at Michael’s craft store.

You can’t get any simpler. These are so quick and easy to make, and look and taste great!
